Information We Collect

Account information

• Name, email address, phone number (if provided)
• Authentication credentials (hashed, never stored in plain text)
• Profile details such as age, gender, and family member profiles

Health and symptom data

• Symptoms you describe in conversations with Ragav
• Assessment history, follow-up responses, and AI-generated guidance
• Health check-in records and timelines

Uploaded reports

• Lab results, doctor notes, and medical documents you upload
• OCR-extracted text and AI-generated summaries of those documents

Device and usage data

• Device type, operating system, app version
• IP address, approximate location (city-level, never precise GPS)
• Feature usage, session duration, and interaction patterns

Why and How We Use Your Data

• To provide personalised symptom assessments and health guidance
• To maintain your health history so you can share it with your doctor
• To improve the accuracy and safety of our AI models (only with your explicit consent)
• To send you critical safety alerts and product updates
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Storage and Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We follow industry-standard security practices including regular penetration testing, access logging, and least-privilege access controls. Health data is stored on dedicated, encrypted servers isolated from general application infrastructure.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may export or permanently delete all your data at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy in the app, or by submitting a request on our account deletion page.

Upon deletion, all personal and health data is removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for research and safety improvements.

Service Providers and Third Parties

We work with a limited number of service providers to operate our platform — including cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support tools. Each provider is contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and to maintain equivalent security standards.

We do not share your health data with any third party for their own purposes. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect user safety.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. Where data is transferred outside your country of residence, we ensure adequate safeguards — including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent protections — are in place.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use the app so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Delete your data and account permanently
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer can be reached at grievance@ragav.ai. Responses are provided within 30 days of receipt.

Children's Privacy

Ragav is not intended for use by children under 18 without parental supervision. Family member profiles for minors may only be created and managed by an adult account holder.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app and update the effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
